About Fredrik
So who are you to start with?
I’m a Swede living in London since 2000 together with my darling Jenny. In addition to Jenny I also have passionate relationships with photography and technology.
What’s this website for?
First of all I wanted to have a place where I could share my photographs. In addition I’ve added a weblog to capture any thoughts that occasionally pass through my head whilst I have time to write them down. Whilst not an exhibitionist by nature, i.e. I’m not going to share everything here, I would like to find a format for both factual articles and personal ramblings. I guess it takes some practice to be a blogger.
What do you want to achieve with your photography?
Well, expect having a good time and an excuse for getting my hands on some really cool toys. I’m fascinated by the beauty and harmony in nature and have always wanted to be able to keep if only just a little bit of what I’m seeing. Photography allows me to do this practically and also share my impressions and feelings with others.
When I’m travelling or just walking around London I always bring a camera and I have yet to ever find myself bored or with nothing to do. Even the most mundane details become worthy of inspection and assessment as potential subject. I’m most grateful for my wife’s compassion in these matters. She’s too good.
Do you sell your pictures?
Yes! For editorial and commercial usage you can find my pictures at Alamy.com. I will also sell fine art prints from this site. Before I got all the nuts and bolts of that functionality set up just drop me a line and we can arrange something.
Ok, so I get this about photography but then you have categories for technology, business and cooking here as well. Can’t you make up your mind?
-No, not really! I guess I’m a bit ambivalent when it comes to what to do with my free time and I always like to find out about new stuff. What better way to keep track of everything and maybe share some of it than on this web site.
May I contact you?
Yes, that’s what I want you to do! You can either comment my articles or drop me a line over at the Contact page. You can also mail me directly at my domain lycka.com. Use my first name and last name with a dot in the middle.
What does “lycka” mean?
Lycka is Swedish for happiness. I know, it’s a bit corny and probably a death sin to be possesive about happiness but hey it’s better than olycka.com (unhappines – which I also own). Come lycka come!
